CHORONZON – ///Consummation//\\Metanoia\\\ Is Available From PANICMACHINE
With the cancellation of the Nachtmystium/Jarboe tour I did what I do in most situations, I took the great musical energy generated from learning and playing the amazing Jarboe, SWANS, World Of Skin tracks we were to perform and write new music. I recruited my good friend BALEYYG, who directed me through the material of the live set and long time collaborator and valued brother in art Ferenc Teglas to add their creative genius and gave them a week to do it.
This album is the result and it’s one hell of a dense and dark experience to rise from such a spontaneous burst of energy and creativity. I thank my brothers of dark art for blasting open the gateways between worlds on these songs.
The coming year will bring at least two East/West Choronzon releases, the first being Escape From Nullworld and then a Choronzon East/West revisiting of MKCCCXXXIII, an earlier version of which about twenty thousand of you grabbed from Megaupload before they got shut down.

Just in time for the apocalypse and completed as a major storm makes landfall on the US East Coast comes a new album from the chaotes of Choronzon. The Consummation of metanoia is the pain of the psyche growing into new states of being. The Consummation of metanoia is the overwhelming transcendence even of healing to a transformation beyond the human to the essence of being human. A joyful opening to psychosis as means of preparation for easier adaptation. An embrace of fragility as a way to feel the full force of one’s strength.
With ///Consummation//\\Metanoia\\\ Choronzon completes a creative and narrative arc that began with Ziggurat Of Dead Shibboleths. The code of esoteric insight broken, freedom declared under cover of night and now the mind is transformed and chakreas are open. This album is the Veil of Maya lifting as the inner being is revealed after many lifetime’s of journey through war and illusion.
Choronzon are opening up to yet another set of unexplored worlds on this, featuring electric standup bass, keys and percussion from Ferenc Teglas and the multiversal soundscapes of BALEYYG. “We gathered through astral projection to a pre-determined catacomb to generate the sounds by spectral means.” Says Choronzon chaote P. Emerson Williams on the process of creating ///Consummation//\\Metanoia\\\. “Between the three of us we really tapped into multiple streams.” declares Ferenc Teglas. “I got to experience the 333 current as a whispering voice in the distance. This is a very unique album.” Says BALEYYG.

Preparing For US Tour – What I’ve Been Up To

Over on PANICMACHINE I’ve been selling off original art at absurd prices. At the start of this sale the reason behind this could not be shared, but now enough details have been announced for me to share part of it. I will be on guitar and vocals playing with Jarbor and BALEYYG on the Nachtmystium, Jarboe and Weapon tour criss-crossing the US this coming November.
Now, the music and art has been covering basic living expenses and poast success bought me many years supply of basic art supplies. But there has been no extra. I work to buy myself more time to work. To buy myself the time away from pimping music and other projects so I can rehearse, get enough sets of guitar strings, for people who have seen me play live know I go hard, and get myself to where the tour begins and home from where it ends.

Introducing BALEYYG and the 93A Label
Keep an eye out for a new label that has one of those rare commodities in this business: vision. The first release is from BALEYYG – a tremendous monolith of avant-garde heaviness that has been in the works since 2010.
Those of you who have last year’s CHORONZON – FIAT NOX may hear a subtle shift in my sonic tapestry on that release. That came about in part from working so closely with Nic Le Ban on BALEYYG material. Having built a bit of a world in my creative sphere through CHORONZON, Veil of Thorns as well as adding elements of this as a spice to projects with SLEEPCHAMBER, MANES and more extensively as half of the kkore of KKAOGULAA it was very enlightening and expansive to my own art to step into someone elses singularly visionary universe.

Necrofuturist Salon Episode 27 – Dissociative Modifications
The symbolism surrounding Lady P. Emerson is so blatant that one might wonder if it’s all a sick joke. Necrofuturist symbolism is becoming so clear that analizes like this one becomes a simple exercise of pointing out the obvious. His whole persona (whether its an act or not) is a tribute to mind control, where being vacuous, incoherent and absent minded becomes a fashionable thing.
Lady P. Emerson Espies His Alter
You only need to look at a couple of Lady P. Emerson pictures or videos to notice that he is constantly hiding one of his thighs. Most people will simply interpret this as ”a ghoul thing to do” or a “fashion statement”. Those who have passed the 101 of Necrofuturist symbolism know that the All-Seething Thigh is probably its most recognizable symbol. The gesture of fanning one nut, usually the left one, goes way back in Necrofuturist orders. Here’s an explanation of the origin of the Thigh of P. Emerson.
Lady P. Emerson, the son of Gamalöost and Isis was called ‘P. Emerson who drools with two thighs’. His right thigh was white and represented the sun: his left thigh was slack and represented the moon. According to the myth, cHorus lost his left thigh to his evil brother, Snæetch, with whom he fought to avenge Snæetch’s murder of Gamalöost. Snæetch tore out one of the thighs but lost the fight. The thigh was reassembled by magic, by Høötch, the god of writhing, the moon and Musick-Magick. P. Emerson presented his thigh to Gamalöost, who experienced rebirth in the underworld.

Well, I was on my way to keep with my original intention of scoring the ten episodes of Les Vampires in ten weeks, but life got in the way. The tenth and final episode will be up within a week though and many other videonic projects to follow.

Veil of Thorns – A Craven Slave Design

In honour of their 20th year in exestence and as a thank you to fans old and new, Veil of Thorns is offerering “Vampire Wars”, their latest release as a free download. This is not the first time the band has taken this route, which they did last with “Necrofuturist”, their first release on the legendary Industrial music label Inner-X-Musick a year before its official release.
“I was in the mood to expend some energy, get sweaty and play guitar, and this is the result.” said P. Emerson Williams, the vocalist, multi instrumentalist and founding member in his tumblr post announcing the release. “The lyrics were half stream of consciousness and half glossolalia, the beatle-bass was worked hard and put away wet and guitars bit back.”
Diverging from the many-layered, genre-distending path of the last couple albums, “Vampire Wars” inhabits a world of punk noir with a level of immediacy and aggression that harkens back to the early days. There are still plenty of rusting hulks mouldering in the dystopian soundscape of this album, but the survivors are having a party in the ruins.
Says P. Emerson Williams on the topic of what Veil of Thornsapos; intention is: “Go grab the latest album “Vampire Wars” for free, spread it around, repost.” and he continues, “If you write a few words about it or include trax in a podcast or radio show, please share a link with us and many blessings shall befall you and yours.”

The Principles of Goth Orchestration – An Interview with Nosferatu
A conversation with Louis DeWray On Behalf of NOSFERATU
When one speaks of bands representing capital G goth, no better example can be found than Nosferatu. With this, that and the other hyphenated fashion take on goth coming and going in the over two decades of the band’s existence they never compromised their fundamental dark and romantic style. Their fans remain loyal and in return Nosferatu are no less loyal to their audience and to the edifice of dark art they have built. That ‘Wonderland’, their latest album shot to the top spot of the dark wave charts on Amazon UK attests to the depth of this symbiotic relationship.
A week after a triumphant performance at WGT Nosferatu front man Louis DeWray was viciously assaulted, bringing up ugly memories of the attack on Sophie Lancaster. «As you may have read, I’ve had a somewhat difficult week…» is how he put it to me. With characteristic kindness and strength of character he shared his thoughts on Nosferatu’s long awaited return, the goth scene and hipsters among other things just a few days after the attack. Louts, thugs and reactionaries notwithstanding, Louis DeWray shows that Nosferatu and goths are here to stay. We pull together in support during hard times, just as we do under happier circumstances.The attack has made every member of Nosferatu all the more determined to play a great gig at DV8 (UK) and Castle Party (Poland) in a week’s time. “Luckily my spirit is stronger than my jaw!” Louis DeWray said to me. “It was a sad irony that at least one of us was wearing a ‘Sophie’ wristband when we were attacked…”
Assraping a Nun – Gonzo Compilation
I can feel the whoosh of twitter and farcebook followers leaving at the sight of the title… Funny how idle thoughts grow. I tend to have to follow through on everything to the most absurd conclusion, so there was no question I could pass this up.
The genesis of the idea:
People actually get taken seriously with album titles like “fucked on a pile of corpses”?? I’m catering to the wrong crowd. My next release will be called “Assraping a Nun”. Maybe then people will finally open their eyes to the sweet soFISTication I’m offering them.

I did my three versions and came up with the three artist names in an hour. (Hive Mind Drones, Sweetmeat and grave Knave.) There’s a continuum of artists playing with imagery and lyrics just to “shock”, from juvenile attempts at being bad and getting attention, to artists trying to wrap shock-as-pr strategy in bourgeois-tweaking art to others who have definite political or personal agendas delivered in an ironic stance that can’t be easily pinned down.

I have something special for you.
This thing started out as something of a joke, about how some bands can get away with the most inane and infantile track and album titles. I said “I’m gonna make a track called Assraping a Nun”. Before I knew people said they wanted to do their own versions. And that’s what happened.
I did a gonzo track in about four hours, and all these people sat down and did their own gonzo remixes. It was all fast, “unedited” and very spontaneous. In less than a week we had an album of sorts.
I give to you both the original track, and eight (!) remixes by fantastically talented people. I am humbled.

This is truly some great stuff. Stark, but atmospheric. I’ve played HTRK many times on the Necrofuturist Transmission and will be continuing to do so.

HTRK’s Ghostly International debut Work (work, work) is a flat-lined study of desire and submission, sentimentality and dysphoria. The London by way of Berlin and Melbourne art-rock duo (pronounced “Hate Rock”) finished the album’s production while grieving the sudden loss of founding member and bassist Sean Stewart to suicide in March ‘10. And while that tragedy has certainly found its way into the music’s bottomless sonic void, Work (work, work), written from 2006-10 in Berlin and London, is about much more than abject darkness. Much, much more.
On Work (work, work), HTRK craft a stark soundscape: achingly slow 808 beats, eerie synth arpeggios, vaporous guitar noise, and Jonnine Standish’s androgynous, detached vocals, dripping with reverb. And yet it’s the careful way the pair combine those elements—organizing and juxtaposing them with a minimalist’s attention to detail—that makes their music so emotionally devastating. “Ice Eyes Eis” starts things off by enveloping you in a slippery erotic zone, in which a German sex TV babe splays herself over a molasses-slow beat and clouds of dry-ice atmosphere. The creeping “Eat Yr Heart” embodies HTRK’s touch with sonic unease, showcasing a high-pitched horror-movie synth obligato that flits like a swarm of bats around Standish’s declarations of longing (“glucose, cellulose, saccharine”/ “you fill me up then make me starve, eat yr heart”). Late-album highlight “Love Triangle” takes a more sensuous tone, describing a perfect three-person encounter (“he on she on me / she on me on he / bermuda bermuda bermuda”) over textured guitar swirls and a languorous drum-machine march.
